Over this past weekend True Blood actress Evan Rachel Wood and Man on a Ledge actor Jamie Bell were both seen wearing wedding bands on their ring fingers, sparking marriage rumors. 98 Degrees Touring Again?
Is Nick Lachey going back to his boy band days ? Looks like Nick and the rest of 98 Degrees could be coming to a city near you very soon. News that I have to say puts a smile on my face. A recent update to the 98 Degrees website has the rumor mill a buzzing that Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons and Nick could be reuniting for a tour this summer. Now there isn?t actually anything on the band?s website that indicates that a tour is happening but when the site was updated on Wednesday it was the first time in almost a decade that anything had been done with the it. MLB star Matt Kemp isn't just known for nabbing Rihanna at one point. He also nabbed an eight year $160 mill deal from his bankrupt team, the L.A. Dodgers. And FORBES is talking about just how he did it while Mr. Kemp covers the April 9, 2012 edition. Check it, plus LaLa Anthony's lovable bestie Po Johnson rocking the pages of PYNK magazine...
Now this is some serious cash. Guaranteed cash. 27-year-old Matt Kemp has a guaranteed 8-year contract with the Dodgers for $160 milli. And despite his team (now owned partly by Magic Johnson) being bankrupt, professional baseball is now leveraging television rights all the way to the bank.
The cutie baller is covering the new issue of FORBES magazine. And here's an excerpt from his story:
The cable companies, the TV networks and incoming team owners alike are taking some risk with the new TV economics of baseball. That’s why most of the regional sports networks have been structured with an equity component—they’re sharing the risk.
There is one group, however, that gets a sure thing from the local broadcasting windfall: star players.
Mega-television deals, after all, are based on the underlying assumption that the team will be competitive—or that, at a minimum, it has some drawing power. So marquee players, the kind that a team can use to *market itself, suddenly find themselves in a better position than ever.That’s how the Los Angeles Dodgers–a bankrupt baseball team–gives a young star player, Matt Kemp, an eight-year, $160 million contract, even when he isn’t a free agent.
Kemp is a terrific player—the 27-year-old outfielder led the National League in numerous offensive categories last season and finished second in Most Valuable Player balloting.
For the bankrupt Dodgers, headed for sale at auction, a long-term contract with Kemp represented an asset rather than a liability. The team’s enormous valuation is predicated on the ability of the new owner to quickly negotiate a deal worth more than $3.5 billion over 20 years with a regional sports network. Locking up Kemp was an implicit guarantee that Dodgers broadcasts in the foreseeable future would be marketable and, one hopes, worth watching.
A similar rationale drove Arturo Moreno, owner of the Los Angeles Angels, to pay the biggest free agent on the market—Albert Pujols—$240 million over ten years, despite a recent drop-off statistically as *questions swirl about his actual age (remember: baseball contracts are guaranteed). No matter: Moreno now has a face for his franchise—and for Fox Sports West, which recently agreed to give the Angels $2.5 billion over 17 years.And the players themselves? “It’s great to know I’m going to be here for the next eight years,” says Kemp. A $160 million guaranteed payday has a way of making a man feel like that.

On her acting debut in Battleship
It was nerve-wracking really, scary, to go into something so new not really knowing what to expect or what to do. It was a learning experience. Peter Berg was really, really good at helping with that, he didn't even give me a chance to think about it before I was saying lines on the first day...and that helped to cut to the chase.
On whether she gets scared/nervous
I get nervous, I get that anxiety just before I'm about to do something big or when everyone's going to be looking at me.
On her success
I'm very competitive with myself, I don't like staying in the same place- I like growth. I want to get better, the next step always has to be upward, or forward. I'm relentless in that way when it comes to my work, I feel guilty stopping for a little bit, but sometimes it's good to stop. I noticed that this year when I actually had time to stop in January because that was the first time I really took time off for myself.
On body-confidence
I don't think anyone really is 100%, I mean you get comfortable with the fact that, that's your body and it is what it is. That I had to learn, doing enough topless shoots with GQ and Esquire. You just have to accept your body, you may not love it all the way, but you just have to be comfortable with it. You just want something else, that someone else has, but that doesn't mean what you have isn't beautiful. No one is every 100% "I'm the bomb.com" from head to toe.
On how growing up in Barbados gave her thick skin
A lot of the reason why I am the way that I am and my character has a lot to do with my culture. It really helped to have a thick skin coming from Barbados. My upbringing, I definitely had to learn fast how to ignore things or not let it bother me. From the time I was very young I was teased about being bi-racial, that was one of the first things I dealt with, then it went on throughout high school, if it wasn't one thing it was the other thing. In my home, a lot of the things I saw, that definitely helped prepare me for this world.

Nicki Minaj has tongues wagging after an awkward exchange with Jennifer Lopez where she pretty much told her to head back to the Bronx because she wants her job! Watch last night's moment inside.....
Nicki Minaj hit the stage on "American Idol" last night to perform her single "Starship," but it's the few moments surrounding it that are most memorable.
While chatting with Ryan Seacrest, Nicki said she'd like to come back as a guest judge and sit on the panel. And after Ryan asked Randy, Steven and Jennifer what they thought, Nicki looked right at J Lo and said, "J-Lo, can you scoot over a little bit?"
And then Jennifer Lopez (visibly cutting a serious inner-side eye at her too) snapped, "I don't think there's room enough for both of us here!"
*Snaps & a swirl* Nicki later addressed the comment backstage saying, "She didn't seem to be having it but she gonna have it!" Then she added, "No, actually, I love J-Lo. I love what she's done for pop culture I have nothing but respect for her and we were just joking around. I'm sure I'll have lots of fun with them when I'm guest judging."
But um Nicki, methinks you don't know Jenny like that and we all know that Jenny from the Block demeanor will flip that wig in a quick second. Just sayin'....

Laz Alonzo and Meagan Good (who formerly co-starred together in Jumping The Broom) are starring in NBC’s pilot "Notorious" produced by Universal TV and BermanBraun.
Written by Liz Heldens, the show is based on detective Joanna Locasto (Meagan) who returns undercover to the wealthy and troubled Lawson family she grew up in — as the housekeeper’s daughter — to solve the murder of celebutante Vivian Lawson. Laz will play NYPD detective Will Sacovitch who recruits Meagan to infiltrate the Lawson home.

RUMOR CONTROL: Shaq Shuts Down Breakup Rumors, Still "Good" With Hoopz
After certain sites reported that NBA analyst Shaquille O'Neal kicked his longtime girlfriend and former VH1 reality star, Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander, out of his house, Shaq is denying it all and saying things are all good.

Shaq hit up Sway In The Morning on Shade 45 Sirius/XM radio yesterday and cleared up a few rumors. Specifically a rumor that Shaq and Hoopz split up recently after he kicked her out of his house he moved her into.
When asked if the two had broken up, Shaq responded (while telling the hosts they should have checked with him first before running with what a certain site said):
“We fine. We good. Period....When I want y’all to know something, I got the number up here. I’ll call. If I try to respond to what everybody say, I would have to rent this building out and rent out every floor.
They make a business out of getting clicks and getting advertising money... more power to ‘em. You can’t like, take pictures and then say this is a story.”
